UpDraft Engineering
At UpDraft Engineering, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to explore the wonders of engineering. Through hosting free and accessible community workshops at the local library, we hope to ignite and motivate the next generation of engineers. Our hands-on projects, guest speakers, and community partnerships offer a unique and engaging environment for students to develop their skills and grow.
My Experience as VP
As Vice President of UpDraft, an engineering nonprofit for kids, I have led meetings about all kinds of engineering. With our outreach impacting over 275 kids and partnerships with iCode, Kreators Lab, and the Lake Travis Community Library, my team has had the amazing opportunity to uplift kids who were previously unsure about engineering. In each of our 7+ student led projects, the kids have embraced concepts about coding and engineering in a way I didn’t expect. As the designer of our logo and co-founder of this nonprofit, I feel so lucky to be a part of a community that supports organizations like us.
